Field Trip

There is a lot to say about our trip to LA. The architecture museum was a new experience. It showed me a lot of styles of building complexes and presenting them. I found that it is important to stay professional because some of exhibits had some silly things about them and it wasn't a good way to present their work. I learned some ways to make buildings look really good. other than that it wasnt very interesting. The holocaust museum was very interesting. it had really great art and artifacts. It was a lot better then other museums in that respect. The tour lady did a very good job of explaining the holocaust and i felt it was very necessary for a lot of my classmates to learn more about the holocaust. For me, it was really repetitive mainly because ive been to a lot of holocaust museums and I've also learned a lot about it outside of normal classes. She did a very good job explaining everything and it was very informative.
Theres a lot to say for the Darfur event. it was very nice to see so many people interested in the subject. It is definitely a step in the right direction. The hosts were very well informed an had interesting stories. Overall though, i thought it was unimpressive. To me, it was more of the same. One thing that set it apart from other Darfur events I've been to was the bias of one of the hosts. I thought it was completely rude and out of context to make jokes about the president and the white house. that was a really bad thing because it took away from the message and even could have turned people away from the idea of supporting this cause. I thought it was especially uncool because of the presidents new policy on Sudan. and it discourages the white house to continue making such efforts.
