Indifference, good or bad?

on exhibition we all said indifference was the reason these genocides were allowed to continue to happen and why so many people died but what about a different way of thinking. If everybody was indifference, there would be no such thing as genocide because nobody would act on any hatred or love or anything. in addition, words like tolerance are nearly the same as indifference. indifference meaning no difference, or not acting upon something and tolerance being equality or not acting on differences. pretty interesting to think about. in addition people in my group have had a tendency to say casualties of indifference, but, in reality, they are a casualty of difference. because if there was no difference there wouldn't be a casualty in most all genocides.
