Looking back on 10th grade
Looking back on 10th grade a year ago im ashamed of myself and the school. Although there was a moderate work load it was insignificant compared to 11th grade. Taking honors in 11th grade has been insanely different from last year. I was not prepared to write minimum 5 page double spaced papers every other weekend in addition to regular work. I was not prepared for the sat 2 in math. I'm ashamed of myself for not taking extra courses in college, or studying for the sat or sat 2. That was my time for it all, and i blew it. nobody explained how close the sats really were. Hell our class struggled to pass the math section on the California high school exit exam, which is pathetic. I really suffered most in math. I should have taken initiative and independently studied for the sat 2 in math, which i didn't even know existed until 11th grade. i look back and think, how could i ever complain about last year. Last year i didn't have to read 12 books and write book reports on them. Last year i didn't have to take the sat or sat 2 and suffer from lack of studying. Last year i learned like, 1 math concept and i still sucked at that because at that point i didn't care. all i learned in chemistry was some stoichiometry, which i still cant really spell, and some extreme basics. Even though i know nobody is going to read this i still feel like i should warn all 9th and 10th graders about the horrors to come. Dont waste 10th grade like i did. Even if you have straight As like i did you should spend time weekly or whatever on the sat AND if you are good at math, the SAT 2. oh well, i still have time over the summer to study.
